My photography:
My first camera was a gift from my dad. I quickly discovered how much I loved exploring the beauty of horses and other animals through a camera lens. I never expected my passion for animals and photography to expand into a full-fledged business, but over many years what started as a hobby on social media and taking photos for friends began to gain a larger and larger following. That camera became the foundation for everything I did. I began traveling to horse shows to get more content, and along the way met people who loved the idea of affordable, professional photos of their events. My parents, sister, and husband have been my biggest supporters, and began to encourage me to dream bigger. While i’m still learning how to make things better with every shoot, i’ve now found myself able to capture everything from portrait sessions in back yards to action shots in cattle roundups. Each year brings Royal Dutch Studios to new heights, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings!
About me:
I am a Colorado Native and have never lived anywhere else! I grew up in the Denver Metro area, earned my bachelors in Neuroscience from Colorado College, and am now based in Aurora with my loving husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and fish. I’ve always been a horse girl loud and proud, and despite being the only one in my family who caught the ‘horse bug’, always found a way to be around them. I played volleyball through college and started my professional career in corporate, but always found my way back to animals at the end of the day. I now work on a ranch in Sedalia as a horse riding instructor, where they have generously allowed me to continue making connections and expanding my business while providing some marketing help for the ranch. You can find more information about my riding programĀ here.
